Realistic physics, awesome dogfights
SolarTournament is a free multiplayer space shooter in the browser. No download, no account, five minutes a round: open the page and fly.

Realistic physics, no shields
A ship keeps flying where it was flying until a drive says otherwise. There is no drag in space and no shield on any hull: a laser punches straight through, and a careless burn ends in a rock. The flight computer makes it flyable from the first minute; switch it off, drift sideways and fire past your own course.
Five ways to play
- Deathmatch. Everyone against everyone among the rocks, for points.
- Race. Laps through a course of gates at full burn, with a ghost of your best lap.
- Last Clone Standing. A limited supply of clones, and a solar flare eating into the arena.
- Capture the Flag. Two sides tow each other's sponsor cores home on a cable.
- The President's Fleet. Everyone together against one battleship, part by part, down to its reactor.

Seven arenas
- The Belt. Rock and mining rigs, the classic dogfight.
- Rings of Saturn. Inside the ring, in a layer of ice.
- The Satellite Junkyard. Dead satellites and rocket stages high above Earth.
- Jupiter. Dive through the clouds, where the air slows and burns a hull.
- Corona. A fight close to the boiling face of the sun.
- Event Horizon. Around a black hole, where only a stable orbit is safe.
- The Derelict. The two halves of a broken world ship.
Online, without a game server
Join a public tournament or start your own and send a friend the link. The browsers connect directly to each other, peer to peer. Nobody around? Bots fly by the same rules as you, in solo rounds and to fill up a tournament.
Learn to fly, then keep flying
The flight school teaches every maneuver in short drills. Each round pays out coins for the hangar's upgrades. Fly with mouse and keyboard, a gamepad, or touch on a phone; the picture adapts to what your device can draw.
A universe of clones and sponsors
The year is 2584, and the Orange President's Presidential Games are the only show left. Clones fly old fighters from the depots of centuries of war, and you are their Host, bound to them by a live link: every death comes back to you. Between deaths, sponsors sell you products nobody needs, and Nicole, your flight computer, has opinions.
Radio 2584
Every round grows its own hard techno track from a seed. Its title is the seed: enter a title on the radio page, listen again, download it.
Open source
The whole game is free software under the AGPL: read the source code. The rules, tactics and numbers are in the Pilot's Handbook.
